Virgin Australia — IT Asset Decommissioning
Multi-site collection, disposal and destruction of over 1500 legacy in-flight entertainment devices.
G1 was recently engaged by Virgin Australia to recycle approximately 1500 tablet devices that had recently been upgraded. The assets were located across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Asset collection was performed from multiple sites within stringent collection time constraints. Each asset was returned to a G1 processing facility for asset tag removal, information capture and product destruction.
At the request of Virgin Australia, all assets were dismantled and recycled, with 100% of e-waste diverted from landfill.
The entire disposal operation was managed by our core disposals team, and was completed well within the business project requirements.
